Ivan,

I'm writing this in the hopes of bringing you up to speed on one of the new developments at the local sept. I know it's not a requirement, but I thought it might be prudent.

Or it would be, if I had any intention of sending it.

If I'm being honest, it may never reach you. Admittedly, I feel more comfortable writing my thoughts down in a letter than I do with writing it down in a journal. I just hope you don't mind me using you as the unknowing sounding board.

( But in case it does reach you, I'll do what I can to maintain a sense of decorum about it. )

Summary: What begins as a pleasant albeit still somewhat nonplussed conversation between Sandra and Yael turns into a less pleasant and somewhat snarly exchange with a cougar-mage that doesn't realize until too late that he's eating his own foot.

( I respected him. Something I thought I might never be able to say about any Shadow Lord. )
