I'm writing this in the hopes of bringing you up to speed on one of the new developments at the local sept. I know it's not a requirement, but I thought it might be prudent.
Or it would be, if I had any intention of sending it.
If I'm being honest, it may never reach you. Admittedly, I feel more comfortable writing my thoughts down in a letter than I do with writing it down in a journal. I just hope you don't mind me using you as the unknowing sounding board.
( But in case it does reach you, I'll do what I can to maintain a sense of decorum about it. )
